Beautiful 1978 Jeep CJ5 Golden Eagle/Levi edition. Mainly ALL stock, and FULLY restored, as close to original as possible. Was a frame off resto. 5yrs. ago. I just repainted in Black with metallic gold. YES its an Original Golden Eagle. I Have WAY to much respect for the jeep to put alot of the aftermarket addons! Has a rebuilt H. O. 258//6 cyl. engine with 3728 miles as shown on speedometer. The speedometer was replaced when the engine was rebuilt. Has the updated H. E. I ignition system (Better performance, and dependability). I had also planned on putting a tan Accel cap on it to match it better (but never got around to it) I had also planned on putting a Weber carburetor on it as well. MUCH MORE DEPENDABLE AND RUN MUCH BETTER THAN THE STOCK CARBS. Has a manual-3 speed T150 tranny. Has the original Dana 44 rears. Exhaust replaced a couple years back. RUNS DRIVES GREAT! The original Levi seats was damaged, and replaced. The replacements are Not quite the same color as the originals, But Not really all that noticeable. I planned to put the spice color seat covers on it. if i kept it. I still have the rear original Levi seat,BUT the bottom is damaged, and needs to be reupholstered. The 15" aluminum turbine style rims were an AMC factory upgrade. VERY SOLID,AND RUST FREE! Very solid frame with NO plating either! Clean title. Selling my 1984 jeep cj-7.if you are look for a rot free jeep from Cali this would be the one for sure.the paint option of almond beige for this year are hard to find in this great of shape.it was sold new in south Carolina at Hinkles jeep and made its way to California in the late 1980's.it has a very clean car fax and auto check.the paint is original and has the great patina look to it.no rust on this jeep as the pictures speak volumes for it.all gauges work on it except for ttach.turn signals,4wd and wipers all work.horn and inside dash lights do not work but the dome lamps do work.it has the 5 speed Tranny and Amc 20 rear end and the Dana 300 transfer case.has tilt steering and the 15 gallon fuel tank.passenger and rear seat are original but the drivers was replace.the bikini top is original when the jeep was new.the lock cylinder for the console is inside of it.the wheels and center caps are in mint condition.tires are decent shape.it makes no noises driving down the road and the steering is pretty tight.it shifts with no issues down the road and does not stall out when its at idle or at a red light.this is a great looking jeep and a blast to drive it around town.just had a oil change, coolant flush and a full tune up.does not blow any smoke when starting and does not leak ant oil.it is a very clean and dry jeep from southern California. Wipers do work. The windshield does have a crack about 10 inches or so in length. Their is no soft top but I do have all the hardware to go along with it. I have a Average hard top that i am willing to sell at a additional cost. It does have some chips and cracks on the hard top.
