This is a 1977 Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans Mk I. This is the second year of the first generation of this model. This bike is all original except for Bub exhaust, European-spec lighting (recessed headlight with city light, turn signals without square reflectors), and KN air filters. The bike has always been garaged and is in excellent, unrestored condition, with signs of aging as might be expected on a 40-year-old motorcycle. It could use new paint on the headlight fairing and there is some oxidation on the unpainted metal parts (e. g. cylinder heads, carburetor bodies). The bike starts and runs perfectly. Everything works as it should except for the linked braking, which is notorious for being difficult on these bikes. The front caliper in the linked system —the one activated with the foot brake —does not seem to be working. My intention was to unlink the brakes, as this generally seems to simplify things, but I have not had the time to do this. The seat is original, with some wear, but none of the cracking that typically requires them to be replaced.
